It was disappointing to exit the ESFA U13 Inter Association trophy on Saturday but we should not allow the defeat to cloud the many good memories this cup run has provided us with. Everyone who has been involved this season can look back with pride at reaching the last 32 in the country. I have no doubt that when the national competition comes around again at U15 level in two years time we will be looking to go even further.

Congratulations must go to the players and staff from Telford & Wrekin S.F.A. They faced an early morning trek up the M6 to play us but the journey did not dampen their enthusiasm or spirit. We wish them well in the competition and I would not be surprised to see them go all the way if they can keep injury and illness at bay.

Many thanks must go to the staff and patrons at Old Boltonians F.C for allowing us to use their pitch again. With the winter weather impacting on playing surfaces across the town we were lucky to have a superb facility to use for such a key game.

The cup exit means unfortunately means that our competitive season is now over. Mr Mason still plans to run training sessions at Canon Slade School every Tuesday at 4.15pm (the next session is on Tuesday 6th December) and there may be a friendly fixture or two in the pipeline after Christmas. Please keep on checking this page for updates.

Finally I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all players, staff and supporters who have been involved this season.

Best wishes

Mr Jackson
