I am delighted to report that the G.M.C.S.F.A Under 15 Inter Association play-offs will take place at the Bolton Wanderers Eddie Davies Academy in Lostock, Bolton on Friday 6th May.

The districts who have qualified alongside us are: Salford, Trafford and Warrington.

Each team will play three 40 minutes matches on the evening. The winners will be the team with the best record on the night.

The Manchester Evening News G.M.C.S.F.A Under 15 League trophy will be presented to the winners.

All players should report to the venue in school uniform. Please arrive no later than 5.15pm so that we can facilitate a good warm up.

Unfortunately our manager Mr Baldwin is unable to attend this event so we welcome back Mr Devlin who will help me to run the team on the evening. Mr Baldwin will still be with us in spirit on the evening; he has provided us with his starting line-up and preferred formation and has asked for regular text updates.

The fixtures on the evening will be:

6pm: Bolton v Warrington and Salford v Trafford

7pm: Bolton v Trafford and Salford v Warrington

8pm: Bolton v Salford and Warrington v Trafford

The games will consist of two, twenty minute halves with a break of five minutes for half time. There will be short breaks of fifteen minutes between matches.

According to the tournament rules any player who is sent off during any of the matches will not be allowed to play in any of the other games on the evening.

From M61 (Staff, Visitors, Players and Parents)

Leave the M61 at Junction 6, turn right if heading North, turn left if heading South, take the second exit at the Spirit of Sport roundabout and continue on A6027. Take the next right filter lane, signposted Lostock Industrial Estate, this will take you onto Lostock Lane.

 

Take the first left onto the temporary road (adjacent the Persimmon Site), follow this road down, with the factory on your right, to the Car Park

 

From Macron Stadium (Staff, Visitors, Players and Parents)

Take the first exit at the Spirit of Sport roundabout and continue on A6027. Take the next right filter lane, signposted Lostock Industrial Estate, this will take you onto Lostock Lane.

There have also been developments in the Greater Manchester County Cup competition. I am pleased to confirm that our semi final against Wigan will be played on Tuesday 10th May at Rivington and Blackrod High School with a 6pm kick off. If you know that you are unavailable for this important tie please Mr Baldwin or I know as soon as possible.

The cup final will be played on the evening of Friday 13th May at Manchester United’s Ayrshire Road training complex in Salford.
