Liverpool overcame favourites Sefton 1-0 in the ESFA Area B Cup semi final to book their place in the final alongside us this coming Saturday. I managed to get down to Walton Soccer Centre to watch the game and it was a very tight affair decided by an own goal ten minutes from time.
Thanks and commiserations to everyone involved in the narrow defeat to Manchester in the Greater Manchester County Cup semi final on 25th April. By all accounts it was a competitive contest and although we are disappointed to go out we wish Manchester all the best for the final.
Now we must turn our attention to another big game this weekend and hopefully the small setback we have just endured can spur us on to a trophy in the season finale.
